'This Transient Life'

This series of images depicts the effect of current world issues on the individual, resulting in a sense of alienation and isolation that is explored through place and the human landscape.

'This Transient Life' portrays landscapes and views obscured by windows and juxtaposed with symbols of abandonment or isolation, such as empty chairs, distant figures and forms of transport. Views are delineated by a boundary of glass or the suggested boundary of a window frame, connoting the veil of consciousness through which each individual interprets the world.

My work reflects the emotional responses that we, as individuals, have to these surroundings.
